The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), in collaboration with the  Green University Computer Club (GUCC),  successfully organized the Logo Unveiling Ceremony of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) held on 02 August 2026 (Sunday) at Seminar Hall (A-302), Green University of Bangladesh. 

The ceremony officially introduced the Department of Computer Science & Engineering's new logo, symbolizing its renewed identity, future vision, and commitment to academic excellence. The event was graced by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, university officials, respected faculty members, students, and members of the Green University Computer Club. The program commenced with a welcome address, followed by remarks from Syed Ahsanul Kabir, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. In his speech, he reflected on the department's remarkable journey and achievements, emphasizing that the newly unveiled logo represents the collective dedication of the faculty members, students, university administration, and the logo design team. He also expressed his sincere appreciation to  Green University Computer Club for successfully organizing the ceremony.

A key highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the new CSE logo by the Honorable Vice Chancellor and the Chairperson of the department. Prior to the unveiling, a video presentation showcased the inspiration and design process behind the logo. The newly unveiled logo reflects the department's vision of innovation, continuous development, and academic excellence.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh, described the Department of Computer Science & Engineering as one of the university's leading academic departments. He remarked that the logo embodies the department's values, reputation, responsibilities, and future aspirations, expressing his confidence that it would inspire greater excellence in education, research, and innovation.

In recognition of the valuable contributions to the logo development process, Tanveer Ahmed Ziad, President of GUCC, was presented with a Crest and a Certificate of Appreciation, while Mamun Sahriar, Graphics and Multimedia Coordinator, received a Certificate of Appreciation for his contribution to the design of the department's new logo. The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting session and group photographs, commemorating the official launch of the department's new identity.

The Logo Unveiling Ceremony marked a significant milestone for the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, reflecting its shared vision, unity, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence and continuous progress. The newly unveiled logo will proudly represent the department's identity and aspirations for years to come.
