On the occasion of International Mother Language Day 2026, the Center for Language and Cultural Studies (CLCS), Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), successfully organized a vibrant cultural event titled “আঞ্চলিক ভাষার লড়াই: আমার জেলা-ই সেরা” on 24 February 2026 at 12:00 PM in Room A-302.

The program was arranged to celebrate the linguistic diversity of Bangladesh and to highlight the richness of regional dialects and cultural heritage. Students enthusiastically represented their respective districts, presenting unique features of their regional languages, traditions, history, and cultural identities. The event created a lively and competitive atmosphere, fostering pride in linguistic roots and strengthening awareness of cultural diversity among participants.

The event was graced by the presence of three distinguished Special Guests: Honourable Professor Md. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer, GUB; Honourable Professor Dr. M Shahidullah, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences; and Honourable Dr. Serajum Munira, Director, CLCS. Their insightful remarks and words of encouragement greatly inspired the students and enriched the academic and cultural significance of the program.

The dedicated efforts of the organizers and the enthusiastic participation of students made the program both educational and memorable.
