The Department of English at Green University of Bangladesh successfully organized a program titled “Meet the Chairperson” on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, at 11:30 AM in Room A-302, creating an inspiring and engaging atmosphere enriched with enthusiasm and academic spirit.

The program began with a warm welcome and opening speech by Dr. Serajum Munira, Associate Professor of the Department of English and Director of CLCS and CCD. She offered valuable advice to the students and encouraged them to make the most of the mentorship opportunities provided by the department.

Following this, an insightful address was delivered by Prof. Dr. M. Shahidullah, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, who offered valuable guidance and motivational remarks for the students. The introduction of the mentors highlighted the commitment and dedication of the faculty members who play a vital role in supporting students’ academic development. Subsequently, two students representing different sections delivered thoughtful speeches, sharing their experiences, expressing gratitude, and reflecting on their academic aspirations.

The program was further enriched by the inspiring remarks of Dr. Elham Hossain, Associate Professor and Director of GCiA, who emphasized the importance of personal growth, creativity, and global opportunities for students. 

The session concluded with an encouraging and visionary address by the honorable Chairperson, Dr. Md. Shamim Mondol, who spoke about students’ ambitions and aspirations, strengthening the bond between the department and its students.

The program ended on a highly positive and inspiring note, leaving participants motivated and proud to be part of the academic community at Green University of Bangladesh.
