July Mass Uprising Day 2026 Celebration Successfully Organized at Green University of BangladeshThe Office of Student Affairs (DSA), Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), successfully organized the “July Mass Uprising Day 2026 Celebration” on 12 August 2026 at 02.00 p.m. to 03.30 p.m. at Room A-302, Green University of Bangladesh. The commemorative program was arranged to honor the historic July Mass Uprising, pay tribute to the sacrifices and contributions associated with this significant chapter of the nation’s history, and provide an opportunity for the university community to reflect on its significance, values, and enduring impact.


The program was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, Vice-Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest, and Professor Dr. S. M. Hassan Talukder, Dean, Faculty of Law, Green University of Bangladesh, as the Special Guest. The program was also attended by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean, Green Business School, Green University of Bangladesh, Dr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, Proctor, Green University of Bangladesh, Dr. Md. Shariful Alam, Director, Office of Student Affairs, Green University of Bangladesh, and Abdullah Al Satu, Former Student of Green University of Bangladesh, along with faculty members, staff, and students of the university.

As the Special Guest, Professor Dr. S. M. Hassan Talukder, Dean, Faculty of Law, Green University of Bangladesh, reflected on the significance of the July Mass Uprising and its broader implications for society and the younger generation. He emphasized the importance of awareness, responsible citizenship, and learning from significant moments in national history.

In his speech as the Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, Vice-Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh, highlighted the historical significance of the July Mass Uprising and emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices and contributions associated with this pivotal moment in the nation’s history. He encouraged the university community, particularly the students, to uphold the values of responsibility, integrity, and civic consciousness.

A notable part of the program was the recognition of Abdullah Al Satu, ( Law Dept.) Former Student of Green University of Bangladesh, whose presence provided an opportunity for the university community to acknowledge the contributions and experiences associated with the July Mass Uprising.

Dr. Md. Shariful Alam, Director, Office of Student Affairs, Green University of Bangladesh added further significance to the commemorative occasion. The program concluded with a renewed commitment to preserving the memory, speed of significance of the July Mass Uprising and encouraging students to develop a deeper sense of social responsibility, civic awareness, and commitment to the values of a just and responsible society. A crest is given to Abdullah Al Satu, ( Law Dept.) Former Student of Green University of Bangladesh for role and contribution during this significant chapter of the nation’s history July Uprising 2024.As Rabeya Akter Eva, (CSE Dept.) Former Student of Green University of Bangladesh was unable to attend the program, the crest awarded to her was received on her behalf by A.K.M.
