The Department of Journalism and Media Communication (JMC), Green University of Bangladesh, successfully organized a seminar titled “Development Communication and Journalism: Storytelling in Development Journalism” on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh, graced the seminar as the Chief Guest. The session featured Nazia Adnin, Digital Distribution Coordinator, DW, Bangladesh, as the Keynote Speaker. Dr. Habib Mohammad Ali, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Journalism and Media Communication, served as the Session Chair.
The seminar focused on the significance of storytelling in development journalism and explored contemporary approaches to communicating development-related issues through compelling and meaningful narratives. During the session, the keynote speaker shared valuable professional insights and practical experiences on digital storytelling, content distribution, audience engagement, and emerging trends in journalism.
The interactive discussion provided JMC students with an opportunity to enhance their understanding of development communication and connect their academic knowledge with real-world media practices. Students actively participated in the session and engaged with the speaker through questions and discussions.
