The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Green University of Bangladesh successfully organized the Freshers’ Orientation Program – Spring 2026 in Room J-111, warmly welcoming the newly admitted students in an engaging and academically enriching environment.The program began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, gracefully rendered by Abdullah Al Mamun (232 Batch), setting a respectful and solemn tone for the event. Although scheduled as part of the orientation, the formal introduction to the EEE Mentorship Program was conducted earlier on 01 February 2026 to ensure focused interaction and effective understanding among students. The session was facilitated by Mr. Shaharior Anik, Lecturer and Mentor Moderator, Department of EEE, who clearly outlined the objectives, structure, and benefits of the mentorship program. This segment also included the familiarization of the Program Coordinators, conducted by Mr. Md. Atiqul Islam, Lecturer and Program Coordinator, Department of EEE.During the orientation session, the faculty members of the Department of EEE were formally introduced by Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Chairperson, Department of EEE. He highlighted the faculty members’ academic backgrounds, research interests, and strong commitment to student-centered education. This was followed by an insightful presentation titled “Promising Achievements of EEE – Green” delivered by Prof. Dr. A S M Shihavuddin, Professor, Department of EEE, showcasing the department’s notable academic milestones and student accomplishments.To enhance interaction and engagement, an entertaining Kahoot quiz session was arranged for the freshers, creating a lively and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Subsequently, a guidance session on “EEE Job Prospects” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Professor, Department of EEE and Treasurer, GUB. He shared valuable insights on career opportunities, higher studies, and emerging trends in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.The program was further honored by the presence of the Honorable Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Azad, who delivered an inspiring and motivational speech, encouraging students to strive for academic excellence, innovation, and integrity throughout their undergraduate journey.The prize-giving ceremony for the Kahoot session and the vote of thanks were conducted by Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, acknowledging the contributions of the speakers, organizers, volunteers, and participants.The orientation concluded with a group photo session followed by a guided visit to the departmental laboratories, providing students with their first exposure to the department’s academic and practical facilities.The Department of EEE sincerely thanks all respected faculty members, organizers, and participants for their valuable contributions in making the Freshers’ Orientation Program – Spring 2026 a meaningful and successful event.
