A Glimpse into the Fashion Industry

Textile Engineering Department of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) organized a seminar titled “A Glimpse into the Fashion Industry” on 22^nd June (Friday, 10 am) at Faculty of Science & Engineering Campus, Mirpur-2 at Room # 404. Two keynote speakers in the seminar were Md. Awlad Hossain Khan, Asst Manager, US Bangla Fashion Ltd & Md. Sanuwar Rashid, Senior Lecturer, South East University.

The seminar was presided over by Dr Engr Md Saifur Rahman, Chairman, Textile Engineering Department. He has inaugurated the seminar with introducing the speakers.

A good number of students and faculty members were present in the seminar. Both the speakers enlightened the audience with their resourceful lecture. They focused on our domestic and global fashion trend, our present fashion market, our future challenges etc.

Mr. Md. Sanuwar Rashid also discussed on Global Fashion Supply Chain and how Bangladesh government’s industry can be integrated into this chain effectively. After each presentation, there was an open question hour and enthusiast students have got the opportunity to interact with the speakers.

The seminar was closed with special thanks to speakers, attendants, Textile Club members, staffs of GUB for their support and cooperation by Dr J Biswas. The authority of GUB had also arranged refreshments for all the participants after seminar.
