FTDM Digital Video Editing Lab



Video editing is the process of manipulating and rearranging video shots to create a new work. Editing is usually considered to be one part of the post production process— other post-production tasks include titling, color correction, sound mixing etc. It is a visual art and very important practical part of FTDM syllabus.


The Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) has newly setting up hi-fi Digital Editing Lab for FTDM students. The lab is equipped with eleven dual-monitors, Mac workstations pro, Surrounding sound system and an instructor’s station. Each computer is connected to a local server. This set-up enables multiple users to share storage over a high-speed Fiber Channel network. Every student can read, write and work directly to the centralized file system. Students will have access to the all world renowned software’s like Final Cut Studio 10, Illustrator CS, Sound forge 10 and Photoshop CS etc.


The lab is open during regular library hours, and help is also available on weekends.
