Green University Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning

The GREEN UNIVERSITY CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING refers to a team, a shared facility or an entity that provides leadership, evangelization, best practices, research, support and/or training for a focus area. The focus area in this case might be a training (e.g. capacity building), a skill development (e.g. pedagogy), a competency amplification (e.g. research opportunities) or a broad area of training (e.g. tertiary level teaching). GUCETL may also be aimed at revitalizing stalled initiatives.

Within the university, GUCETL may refer to a group of people, a department or a shared facility. It may also be known as a competency center or a capability center. The term may also refer to a network of institutions collaborating with each other to pursue excellence in a particular academic, research and/or training area.

In the GUB, the term GUCETL will refer to a center that provides sufficient and easily accessible academic skill development services to faculty members.
