Laboratories of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Green University of Bangladesh endeavors to provide its students adequate laboratory facilities in each semester. Most of the undergraduate courses of this department are intensively laboratory oriented. We believe that a student cannot learn the subject-matter of a course without having any practical experimentation or simulation works in the laboratory. Keeping this in mind, from the very beginning, this department is giving its best efforts to establish different laboratories and procure sophisticated experiment training kits, test and measuring equipment from home and abroad especially from USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Italy, China, South Korea, Taiwan, India etc. This department has already established 17 laboratories. Each and every semester we are upgrading and improving our laboratories by new equipment and trainer and hence the experiments. Already EEE department has established Physics, Chemistry, Computer Programming, Electrical Circuit, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, VLSI Design, Digital Signal Processing, Microprocessor and Interfacing, Industrial and Power Electronics, Power System Protection, Electrical Machine, Switchgear, Control Systems, Communication Engineering, Microwave Engineering Laboratories etc. In these laboratories, there are various state-of-the-art test and measurement instrument, programmable logic controllers, analog and digital motor controller, PID controller, robotic arm controller, elevator controller, various communication trainers, DSP and FPGA trainer, power factor improvement (PFI) plant, power electronics trainer, transmission line trainer, antenna trainer, AC and DC machines, transformers, electrodynamometer, auto-re-closer, AC and DC power supplies etc.
A brief description of each of these laboratories together with their equipment list is given in the following:
1. Physics Laboratory: This laboratory is well equipped with various types of apparatus such as calorimeters, post office box, meter bridge, potentiometer, polarimeter, compound pendulum, stop watch, microscope, sonometer, water heater, calorimeter, polarimeter, optical bench, traveling microscope, resistance boxes (ranging from 0.1W to 10,000W), rheostates of various ranges, slide calipers, screw gauges, spherometer, capillary tubes, Searle’s apparatus, galvanometers, DC power supply, voltmeters, ammeters, multimeters etc.
